NRPS arrest second person in connection to Niagara Falls stabbing

Charges dropped for original suspect Luizao Castro

Niagara Regional Police have made a second arrest in connection to a Niagara Falls stabbing.

Last week, 35-year-old Luizao Castro was arrested in connection to the stabbing on Queen Street near Erie Avenue, however those charges have since been dropped.

On Wednesday, police arrested 23-year-old Mackenzie Duncan of Toronto on charges of attempted murder in relation to the stabbing, which saw a 66-year-old Toronto resident hospitalized.

The victim has since been released from hospital and is recovering.
