London man has been charged after police uncovered video evidence of an unreported shooting in late August
A 21-year-old man has been charged after London police uncovered video evidence of a previously unreported shooting on Boullee Street in late August.
Members of the London Police Service Major Crime Section say cellphone footage obtained during a separate investigation showed a suspect firing a gun at a residence between August 22nd and 27th. No injuries were reported.
Further investigation confirmed evidence of gunfire in the 200-block of Boullee Street. Additional digital evidence obtained in October helped identify the suspect, Dilgash Hamed, who is already in custody on another matter.
Hamed faces several firearm-related charges, including discharging a firearm recklessly, occupying a motor vehicle with a firearm, and possessing a prohibited weapon without a licence.
Anyone with information or surveillance footage from the area of Boullee and Cheapside streets between August 22 and 27 is asked to contact London Police at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
